FIRES.

FANCY GOODS SHOP DESTROYED. [Per Press Association.] Auckland, Xovember 6. A fire occurred about 4.30 this morning in a fancy goods 'shop in Afannkau road, Parnell, the stock being practically destroyed. The shop was occupied by Mrs A. McManus and owned by Air J. Dale, of Devon port. He was awakened this morning by an explosion of fireworks that formed part of Ins stock, and found that the shoo was ablaze. Practically the whole of the stock was destroyed and the room above was completely gutted. Mrs AlcAlanus had two policies of £2oo each on the stock and furniture in the Xew Zealand and Royal offices.
