THE STRATFORD CLUE. The following rinks and pairs have been selected for com'pctitions to-mor-row afternoon, play commencing at 2.30 sharp. Xo. 1 tea in.—Hi nk: Masters,' Reid, Penn, McDonald (s). Pair: Edgcumbe and Webb (s). Xo. 2 team.—Rink : Newton, Davey, Nicholson, McMillan (s); Pair: Moon and Grant (s). No 3 team.—Rink: Bickorton, Beckett, Cottier, Smart (s). Pair; Harris and E. Jackson (s). No 4 team.—Rink: Sharp, Masters, Curtis, King (s). Pair: Davies and Reeve (s). No. 5 team.—Rink: Munro, Wilson, Brake, Wright (s). Pairs: Corlett and Healy (s). Xo. (5 team.—Rink: Sanderson, Martin, Songster, Morison (s). Pair: Budge and Porritt (s). THE DRAWS.
First round.—No 1. team plays 2; 3 plays I ; 5 plays (5. Second round.No. 1 plays 3; 2 plays 6; 4 plays 6. The game is 13 heads. All members arc requested to be present, and those not included in the rinks and pairs will ho allotted games. The conditions governing the above competitions are as follows: Each rink and pair will he drawn to play every other rink and pair which will constitute a round. Winners to hold buttons and feathers till completion of next round. Matches to start not later than 5.30 p.m. or before 5 p.m., any rink or pair not ready to play at 5.30 shall lose by default. Rinks allowed to play one substitute only. Teams must change the personnel of their rinks and pairs for every round. Matches to he cancelled on any evening by mutual agreement or Inorder of the green warden, if wet. Matches not played on evenings allotted can not he played again. In the event of rinks or pairs winning the same number of games the winner shall he the one with the least number of points scored against it, and should there still he a tie then the points for shall decide. The number of heads to ho played to he decided by the match committee for each round. In the event of the number of heads not being played for any reason whatever, then matches to he decided on heads played. Match ties to be decided by extra head. Dead heads lo count as a head played and one point against the player’s side. Conditions may he altered by match committee after one week’s notice, hut not during a round. At the end of the* season the buttons and feathers are to bo handed to the secretary.
