Amongst the oftico bearers appointed by the Olympic meeting to assist to carry out the resolution and financially assist the various Olympic committees were: Patrons, Lord Denman, and the Governor of New Zealaijd; presidents, the Lord Mayors of the capital cities of the Commonwealth and New Zealand. The Lord Mayor was authorised to communicate with the Mayors of Wellington, Auckland, Duhedin, Christchurch and Invercargiil, asking for similar meetings to be held. A common fund will be established. The executive committee shortly issues an appeal and arranges entertainments for the augmentation of the fund. The sum required is £IO,OOO.
