THE NAVAL HOLIDAY.
RESOLUTION BY U.S.A. REPRESENTATIVE. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 1.0 p.m.) Washington, October 31. Representative Hensely, of Missouri, proposed a resolution in the House of Representatives that America join Mr Churchill’s naval holiday. Representative Slayden understood that President Wilson and Mr Bryan both favored the proposal. Speaker Clarke declared that Germany was too often used as raw head and bloody bones for terrorising Americans during naval debates. Action in regard to the resolution has been deferred.
