XO RECOXCILIATIOX. [Per Press Association.! Hamilton, October 31. Matetrs have an appearance of dragging on indefinitely. Huritly town wears quite a deserted appearance. There is no move towards reconciliation on either side. Inspector M right visited the town yesterday, . but the town was never less in want of police than at present. Pickets escort a few workers to the mines each morning, and then quietly disperse. The younger men are still leaving town. Boardinghouse-keepers are complaining of empty rooms. There is a good supply of coal for the Hamilton Gasworks, there being sufficient to last three months.
