The re-trial of Harry Edward Hoyling (formerly Government interpreter), Hey Wun' and Hey Poo, for conspiring to introduce Cihnese to Australia has concluded.

The Crown alleged that accused conspired with others in Hong K6ng to procure the admission of Chinese, furnishing them with naturalisation papers issued to other Chinese. Special instruction books and plans ot .Melbourne were prepared, and intending immigrants were coached in matters whereon they were likely to be examined on arrival.

Hey Wun and Hey Poo were both found guilty, and were sentenced to twelve months in gaol. The jury disagreed in the case of Hoyling, who was remanded.
