General Diaz appealed for American protection and was transferred to the gunboat Wheeling. General Diaz assured the American Consul that his life was in danger from armed spies who followed him everywhere, and he was unable to trust Huerta’s assurances. DYNAMITED A TROOP TRAIN. t (Received 2.30 p.m.) Mfexicp City, October 28. Rebels dynamited a troop train near Saltillo, .Coahuila, and killed 100 Federals. There were only eight survivors and all were wounded.
