INSTALLATION CEREMONIEB
There was a large gathering of visitors and local members of the craft at lUliemoa Lodge last night, at the installation of Bro. G. I*. Harkness, S.W., as W. 51., and the investiture of officers.. .An interested visitor was Bro. J. G, Harkness,* -President of tlie .■National Dairy Association, and W.M. of’the Wellington Lodge, who had come up *om Wellington to be present at his son’s installation. Originally, it was intended that Wor. Bro. W. 31. Caron, P.G. Set., should be installing master, but owing to tl(£ dislocation of traffic arrangements generally he found it necessary to. leave for Auckland last night, and at the last moment Wor. Bro. T. C. Fookes, P.P.G.M., N.Z.C.,, was asked and graciously consented to perform the ceremonv. The following officers weie duly installed: —R.W.M., Bro. G. P. Harkness, D.G. Swd. B.; 1.P.M., AAor Bro. J. H. Childs, D.G. Arct.; D.M., Wor Bro E. H. Fincham, P.P.G.S.W.; S.M. Wor, Bro D. Blanchard; S.W. Bro G. Pugh, D.G.Swd.B.; J.W., G. Hawkins; treasurer, Bro G. McBain; chaplain, Bro W. Boyd; D.C., Wor Bro G. H. Derby, P.P.G.D., maishal, Bro A. E. Adlum; S.D., Bio A. J. Thompson; J.D., Bro F. Bamford; 1.G., Bro D. Morris; S.S., Bro B. Rowe; J Sj, Bro T. AV. Smith; tyler, Bro. F. Franzen.
The Brethren afterwards sat down to supper. The usual toasts, which were honored, were interspersed with musical items.
