MARGARINE v. BUTTER.
DAIRYMEN IN CONFERENCE.

At the margarine conference the Hon. Thomas Mackenzie presided. The Agents-General and forty representatives of the dairying interest were present. The proceedings were secret.
It is understood that the conference negatived a proposal for margarine being sold in separate compartments and counters.
It was resolved to form a deputation to the Imperial Government to secure legislation to prevent artificial coloring.
