THE SHACKLETON CASE.
ACCUSED IN THE BOX. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press, Association.] (Received 12.10 p.m.) London, October 22. Shackleton denied converting-Miss Browne's money to his own use. The Celtic Trust was interested in the exploration of laud and timber in North Mexico, which was worth £6,800,000. Had the system succeeded, the Celtic's profits would have been £50,000. He would have realised £70,000 besides the .return of the capital. The hearing was adjourned.
