Messrs At more, Isitt, and Thomson, M.iVs who delivered speeches at the Town Hall last night, proceeded to Hawera this morning, being driven through by motor by Mr 1C Masters. They will speak at Hawera this evening.

Sergeant-Major William Thomas Ma son, aged GB, died suddenly at Blenheim on Sunday. He fought in the Maori war. He retired from the police four years ago. He was the last of the sergeant-majors of police Jin the Dominion. - Mr W. Rolfe, stationmaster at I Napier, has decided to retire |on superannuation at the end of November when he will have completed 40 years’ service in the Railway Department. It is reported that Mr Williams, at present at Gisborne, is to be promoted to Napier.
