Members of the Taranaki provincial executive of the New Zealand Farmers' Union yesterday welcomed back Mr J. Thomson, Before commencing the business of the meeting the' president (Mr A. Hunter) said he was very pleased to welcome back to the executive their old friend and colleague, Mr Thomson, who had just returned from a visit to the Homeland. He was, indeed, pleased to see him return looking so well and hearty. His return- was like that of an absent member of the family. MiThomson thanked Mr Hunter and the members of the executive for their hearty welcome. He referred to his experience in the Old Country, and said that we had a good deal to learn from it, The progress in the Old Country was very marked and substantial. ■ ; >
