END OF THE COTTON STRIKE.

WATERSIDERS IN CONFERENCE.
(Received 9.30 a.m.) Sydney, October 17
The Inter-State Conference of the Waterside Workers' Federation is considering a schedule of conditions applicable to the whole Commonwealth Amongst other conditions adopted is one that the men must not work in refrigerating holds at a temperature under fifteen degrees, and another that in order to prevent accidents all winches and other hauling gear bo stopped while the men are ascending and descending the holds or changing for relief.
