Fitzyama started as an outsider; but won an exciting race by a head, resisting Oravegreek in a desperate challenge. Wogstaft", the favorite, finished fourth. F. Wootton, who was engaged to ride Rivali, spent three hours in a Turkish bath, but failed to reach the weight. He was seized with a bad attack of. illness, but hopes to be able to ride' to-mor-row.
