ROBBERY OF JEWELLERY.
COAL AND PAPER SUBSTITUTED. # [By Electric Telesraph—Copyright} [United Press Association.! (Received 9.0 a.m.) London, October 13. A jeweller’s traveller left in the hall of the Commercial Hotel at Kendal two boxes containing 1000 brooches. (500 watch bracelets, etc., worth £lO.000. When opened the following day, it contained only coal and paper. A visitor to the hotel is suspected. He arrived on the same day as the traveller with two heavv baskets.
