Webster, Dobson’s Stock Report.
On Tuesday we held our usual fortnightly Stratford sale. There was a fair yarding of stock and moderate attendance. Competition was fairly brisk, several pens being passed at tin hamcmr, but sold after. We quote: Yearling colored heifers £4 10s Gd to £4 15s, empty heifers £3 3s to £3 12s Gd, heifers in calf £4 3s Cd to £4 15s, ■ybrfrling heifers' £2 4s to £2 15s, 3year bullocks £6 8s Gd, store cows £4 to £4 17s Gd. In the heifer yards we had a fair yarding,: but quality in most cases was inclined, to the inferior .sorts, and this class difficult to sell; good heifers met with good competition and sold freely. Wo, quote ;—Jersey and Holstein springers £8 to £9 10s, Shorthorn heifers 3-year-old £6 to £7, 2-year do. £5 to ; £G ss, backward heifers £4 5s to £5 10s.

At my Rahotu yards on Tuesday. 7th inst., for my spring cattle fair, 1 had a good yarding of about 850 head of mixed cattle. There was a very representative attendance of buyers, and the entry, being mostly good saleable cattle in fair condition, a very satisfactory sale resulted.
