NATIVE SHEARERS’ PROTEST. [Per Press Association.] Hastings, October 11. Natives are holding a meeting this afternoon to protest against the smallpox restriction, and intend to refuse to do any shearing until the embargo is removed, which means that operations will be held up throughout the district.
