THE EGMONT EGG CIRCLE.

HEADQUARTERS AT STRATFORD

Primarily with the object of stimulating increased interest in egg-pro-duction, a meeting was held last evening at Elder’s Tea Rooms, Broadway, at which Mr A. H. Herbert presided. Among those present were Mis:; Xielsen, Mrs Lawn, Messrs H. White and Harrv Masters.

It was unanimously decided that an Egg Circle be formed, to be known as ‘‘The Egmont Egg Circle” with headquarters at Stratford, the Circle being affiliated with the N'.Z. Poultry Association. A committee was formed, consisting of Messrs Herbert, Harry Masters, H. White and E. A. 'Woolby. it is believed that as the Circle is to he worked on sound commercial lines on a co-operative, and not competitive basis, it will soon he recognised that much support should lie given it by all poultry keepers who are interested in the financial side of their feathered stock.

The annual subscription is ss, and Mr Harry Masters, the treasurer, will he pleased to give any information to those interested. It may die added that ihe Egg Circle will not only receive eggs, but will cater for the market and merchandise of them, and commercially foster the interest of all those who are striving to make “a good thing” out of eggs. Rules having been adopted, such an organisation is calculated, when worked on commercial lines, to create a deeper interest in poultry matters, and it is believed the newlyformed Circle will receive such support as shall gain for itself a name for sound fresh eggs and increased financial return to all those who enrol themselves as members.
