WORK AND WAGES.
THREATENED GENERAL STRIKE 'By Elec-rio Telegrapf —'^ptright! [United Press Association.] London, October 10. The Miners’ Federation resolved, with one dissentient, on a combination of the big trade unions to support each other’s demands. The resolution foreshadows a national strike of miners, raihvaymen and transport workers, not later than 1915, if the new programmes are not secured by other methods. Air F. Burton, seconding the motion, favored Syndicalism and even a Nihilistic fight, on the lines of what was being practised in Dublin to-day.
