PALMERSTON SHOW.
The star event which brings the town of Palmerston North before the notice of the public is rapidly drawing near, and the place is gradually donning that air with which it is inseparable as Show time draws near. Preparations are in full swing at the grounds, and yet more improvements are in progress. This time it is twelve extra loose boxes and twenty covered in stalls for mares and foals, besides sundry other minor works, but always something to help make it bigger and better than ever. The prize money and trophies, approximately, £2300, lias attracted great attention, resulting in an almost unprecedented demand from all over the Dominion. We have been requested to state tha J open classes have been provided for shearing and wool clashing. Both these events are of great educational value, particularly the last named, which is practically to test the competitors' knowledge .of Bradford counts. The prize moneys allocated to the two classes aggregate £ll, and full entries are anticipated. All information may be had from the secretary. Mr W. T. Penny, Palmerston North.
