WOMAN JOCKEY AT FLEMINCTON.
The regular watchers of work at Flomington on a recent morning were treated to a somewhat novel spectacle, and one which, it is need-
less to say, they appreciated to tlie full, when Miss Marjorie Longden, an equestrienne, hailing from Tasmania, rode Prince Flotsam in a live furlongs gallop with Fljing Flag, and finished in front at the right end. She also rode Randilla King a two furlongs sprint on the tan, and that the horse appreciated' his fair pilot ho demonstrated by reeling off the two furlongs in 25£seo. Later in the morning she rode Mr Jack Fielder's Heros striding work on the sand. In each instance Mi\ss Longden showed perfect mastery over her mount, and she is possessed of a goo; 1 , pair of hands.
