A PRISONER'S DEATH.

Albert Davis, a prisoner sentenced for theft at Bedford, hunger struck and died. At the inquest a gaoler stated that it was not necessary to acquaint the Home Secretary in regard to hunger-striking unless forcible feeding was employed. The verdict was that death was due to natural causes.
