The committee set up to consider amendments to the constitution reported in favour of creating five divisions for the purposes of organisation, grouping the electorates as follows: Auckland, including all north of Waikato; East Coast, including six electorates on the east side of the North Island; Wellington, including Taranaki and Wellington; Marlborough, including Canterbury and Westland; Otago and Souiiiland, including all electorates south of Oaniaru.

The meeting proceeded to the elec tio'n of an executive.
