A WOMAN SHOT DEAD.

FAILURE OF SUICIDE ACT. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Beeeived 9.25 a.m.) Perth, October 6. A tragedy is reported from North Dandalup. Mrs Molyneaux, during the absence of her husband, was paid attentions by a man named Odgers. Subsequently, the Molyneaux's removed to another district.

Odgers, learning their whereabouts, borrowed a rifle and ammunition and visited Molyneaux's house and demanded to see the wife. The husband warned her to escape, and then, after a struggle with Odgers for the rifle, himself fled with his two children.

Odgers fired two shots after them harmlessly. After several more shots had been heard Molyneaux and a .neighbour returned to the house arid found Mrs Molvneaux shot dead.

Odgers, who had . disappeared, was discovered a mile from tne scene of the tragedy shot through the mouth. His jaw was fractured, but lie was not in a serious condition, and he was taken to the hospital. ( Apparently, he had attempted his own life.
