HOSPITAL PATIENTS DEATH.

[Per Press Association.]' Napier, October 4

At the inquest at .the hospital concerning the death of Chas. Orescent Sanders,/ single, 38, the evidence showed that deceased was suffering from pneumonia and pleurisy and suddenly became delirious Evading the nurse he jumped through a window,-cutting himself badly and died shortly after being, got back to bed. The Coroner found that death was due to pneumonia accele'rated by shock, no blame being attachable 1 to the staff.

INQUEST ON A FEMALE.

At the inquest on Margaret Mary Donnelly, spinster,- 26, bookkeeper at Invercargill, the evidence showed tint there had been a miscarriage. Dr. Fleming said he thought the probable cause of death was tbkaaema of pregnancy, an excessively rare disease, ard quite distinct from the usual cause of death in such cases. Deceased’s condition was quite compatible with a natural death. The contents of the stomach have been forwarded to the Government analyst. Three youths, William Collins, 'Walter Wakefield, and William Letheby, charged with breaking and enter ng, wero sentenced to two months’ imprisonment at the Supreme Court today.

STABBED WITH A SICKLE.

Invsrcargil, October 4

Last night a young man named Morgan-Hayes was stabbed with a sickle by an old man named Thomas Lynch, and now lies in .the hospital in a precarious condition. During a heated altercation about cattle trespass, Hayes is alleged to have struck Lynch. The latter picked up the sicr kle, with which he made a drive, the point entering Hayes’ chest. Lynch was arested and charged with wounding with intent.
