MR SMYTH’S SUGGESTION.

The Unionist papers comment on Mr F. Smytli’s reference to the honfo genous counties of Ulster. The Tele graph asks whether it is a suggestion that the basis of a conference could be found by omitting Down, Antrim, Derry and Armagh from the scope of Home Rule. It is understood that Mr Smyth consulted prominent Unionists in England and aliso Sir E. Carson before his speech.
