Governor Macquaries' manuscripts will be auctioned in February. They consist, presumably, of unpublished Journals of his tours in New South Wales and Tasmania.

The collection comprises 29 lots, which will bo offered firstly as one lot. Tho first journal covers the inspection of the interior of New South AVales in 1810. The second deals with Van Dieman's Land and the planning of Hobart in 1811; the third refers to a tour of the new country westward of the Blue Mountains in 1815. There aye also many letters and documents hearing on the early history of Australasia.
