RECENT TRAMWAY ACCIDENT. [Per Press Association.] Wellington, September 28. The Minister of Public Work's has issued a warrant appointing Dr. McArthur, S.M., to hold an inquiry regarding the death of conductor Breeden as a result of a fall from a tramcar on the Oriental Bay line. The inquiry will open to-morrow, and is to ascertain by whose default, if any, the accident was caused, and whether the line at the spot is safe, allegations having been made by a motorman that the track was faulty.
