AS OTHERS SEE US.
VIEWS OF LORD EMMOTT. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 9.30 a.m.) Sydney, September 26. Lord Emmott, at a farewell interview, said that one of the, things which struck him most was the interest felt by all classes in the problems of the Pacific; also the high level of prosperity of the workers. It was sincerely to he hoped that the standard to which the Australian was accustomed would stand the test of bad times. He was impressed with the size of the Australian cities, whose great growth suggests the danger of shim conditions arising.
