Sydney, September 22. Eight fresh cases of smallpox were reported to-day.

THE QUARANTINE QUESTION

The Lord Mayor has written to Mr Groom asking that the quarantine on Sydney be lifted in view of the mildness of the disease and the monetary loss through shrinkage of trade.
