OVERDUE BARQUE ARRIVES. [Per Press Association.] Greymouth, September 22. The overdue barque Wanganui has Luriied up and is expected to be towed nto port to-day.
LURGLERY AT A JEWELLER'S
Invercargill, September 22
Between Sunday and this morning, the premises of A. E. Arthur, jeweller, Tay Street, were entered by burglars, who goo away with £-100 worth of goods. The- burglars effected an entry through the back part of the premises, boring out portion of three doors and reaching through, the aperture to unlock them. Evidently the thieves had a knowledge of the locality, as they had to scale a back wall to escape with the booty. They left little of any Value.
DOMINION DAY, Wellington, September 22. Dominion Day was observed in Wellington very quietly. The Government and legal offices, banks, and, State schools were closed, but the business establishments were open: The weather is line; A reunion of early settlers will bo held to-night.
