Juvenile labor exchanges are being opened under the auspices of th» board of Trade with the object of finding suitable situations ror children leaving school.
THE HORROR OF FRANCE,

President Poincare, speaking at Bordeaux, appealed for a larger patriotism, and declared that France would obey the demands of peace, but, if necessary, it would be ready for war, the horrors of which would place no limit to the nobility of its sacrifices in the protection of its honoui.

He had a peep at Buckingham and Saint James palaces, walked out and inspected the clubs in Piccadilly, purchased ties in Bond street, rushed to the station and caught the 11 o'clock train to Lover on route to France, easily winning the title of the Royal Hustler. King Constantine of Greece has arrived in Paris unannounced. He will lunch with President Poincare at the Elysoe to-dav.
LONDON'S ''MISSING" RECORD.
London, September 20
There has been a remarkable increase recently in the number of mysterious disappearance in London. Possibly a thousand are missing, Scotland Yard classifies these into four divisions: Lost memory, escapees from debt, elopements and desertion.
FRANCE'S CONSCRIPTS.

A medical examination of 20-year-old recruits resulted in 65 per cent, being pronounced lit for service. It was anticipated that only fifty per cent, would be found lit. A British officer asserts that the conscripts are the physical equals of British solo>ers who have undergone two years' service.
