SCHEME FOR EXPLORATION

Lieutenant Create, of the Luftfarzeug Company, Berlin, has prepared a scheme of utilising an airship to explore New Guinea. The cost of the enterprise, for the furtherance of which committees have been formed in Britain and Holland, is estimated at £150,000, which the German-Colonial hank is financing. It is claimed that a systematic topographical survey of' the unknown interior could be made more' quickly and thoroughly by the new scheme, with one station erected in the interior and the others on the.coast.
