THE ANNUAL RACE MEETING
Tlie annual race meeting of the North Taraaaki Hunt Club was held yesterday at New Plymouth. The attendance was small. The following are the results:—
Members' Handicap Flat Race, for a, trophy of Ssovs.; one mile and a quarter. —Mr A. J. Davy's br g Tokonaru 1, Bismarck 2, Belle Rouge 3. \Vou easily by three lengths, with Bismarck, who finished fast, beating rJello Rouge by a clear length. Time, Jm in 23 2-Dsec.
Open Hack Handicap, for a trophy of osovs.; five furlongs.—Paoli 1, Glaltee 2, Draft 3. Won comfortably iy a length and a half, with Draft a length away third. Time, lmin 6 2-5 sec.
Ladies' Bracelet Handicap, for a ;rophy of 5 sovs.; about two miles, >ver fences. —Ingenkender 1, Victor I, Red Gauntlet 3. Won comfortably rom Victor by twelve lengths. Time, Imin SOsec. Novice Steeplechase, for a trophy if osovs.; about two miles.—Grey Joy 1, Billy 2, Reality 3. Grey Boy von easing up by a hundred yards, vith Billy beating Reality by twelve engths.* Time, smin 42sec. Hunters' Steeplechase Handicap, or a trophy of 5 sovs.; about two idles and a-half.—Otaraoa 1, Tokonaru 2. Won by the length of the itraight.
