SPRING FLOWER SHOW.
AT THE TOWN HALL
The show of spring flowers opened at the Town Hall this afternoon under the auspices of the Stratford Horticultural Society bids fair to be the most successful in the annals o the Society. , Undoubtedly the leading feature of the show is Mr E. A. Osmond’s display of daffodils, which has to be seen to be properly appreciated. Mr Rattles has a very fine collection of pot plants (cinerarias and primulas) and three vases of sweet peas, which is somewhat remarkable for the time of • year. Mr Besley has a very fine pot of cyclamen of quite exceptiona merit. There- is an excellent stand by Messrs Duncan and Davies. Mrs 1 Reader has a very creditable collection' of daffodils, and Mrs Wheeler, of Inglewood, has a fine collection of cut flowers, including some very fine specimens of magnolia stellata The flowers in themselves make an excellent show, and their effect is heightened by the effective staging ~
