TRAFFIC HELD UP

A large quantity of perishable goods s held up in Liverpool. Seven goods .’ards are closed, and lour thousand vorkers now on strike, but the Alexmdra Dock and Edge Hill railwaynen refuse to join any unauthorised strike. The leadens declare they inend to fight without the Transport A orkeys’ Federation’s assistance. Twelve Midland railwayman at Birmngham have been dismissed for reusing to handle Dublin goods. A housand others then struck in sym>aihy and it is expected that six thou■and will strike to-night. . r
