HIS MAJESTY'S PICTURES
\ fairly large and enthusiastic audi-
?nce witnessed the big change of star pictures at Bernard's Theatre last right. The star item, "Kings of the Forest," is a thrilling story of the lthodesian jungle, Selig's spectacular tale of wild animals and human beings. As In- as wild animal dramas are con- ( ?rned the Selig Company of America tike first place, having their own r.enagerie of wild beasts. But they have gone further in producing this special film, the camera operator being perched in a house built in a tree i,i the Rhodesia jungle, and having secured the animals in their natural habits. "Tim Grogan's Foundling," by the Yitagraph Co. of America, is about the best yet performed by the Yitagrah actors. "Basso, the Ape" is a very high class educational film, and vends to show what a large monkey can bo trained to do; in fact, bringing Darwinian's theory to a close call.
"The Female Detective." a Lubin dra.na, and "The Haunted Hotel" by Pathe Bros are films of calibre. The seevic and comic portion are well rate red for. This evening the same programme will be repeated. Mr W. Diamond will render the great descriptive battle' song "Home Sweet Home," with incidental effects. On Friday evening the usual amateur comic song trials will eventuate. Several entries have already been received.
