CAUGHT J.N THE SHAFTING. [Per Press Association.] Gieborne, September 16. Thomas Cahill, whilst crushing make., was caught in the shafting. Three fingers were torn from his right hand, his right arm was broken, his left leg severely injured, and he sustained a scalp wound. WHARF LABORER KILLED. Gisborne, September IG. Robert Lloyd, an'elderly wharf laborer, was working on the steamer Rosamond, when the derrick fell and killed him instantaneously.
