LOCAL AND GENERAL.
Madam Bernard has made a donation of half-a-guinea to the prizefund of the Horticultural Society, as a special prize for the class for twentylive varieties of narcissi.
A slight error occurred in our report of the Domain Board's last meeting. It was stated that £ll 16s 9d was the cost of planting trees in Broadway north, but the work really referred to was tree-planting on the north side of King Edward Park, along Regan street.
A rather effective advertisement for the flower show to he held in the Town Hall on Thursday next under the auspices of the Stratford Horticultural Society is on View in the window of the Cash Tailoring Coy.'is promises. An announcement regarding the show surrounded with some
line specimens of cinerarias and primulas, the whole making an excellent display. The arrangements for the
show are now well forward, and everything points to this year's function heme; as successful as any in the history of the Society. In the evening a
promenade concert programme is to he given by a full orchestra.
