The New Zealand Competitions Society’s Third ‘Uinual Festival commences at W jngton oh 3rd November. it bid- fair to be the biggest tiling of its kind overhead in New Zealand. Entries arc being .received from every Cornei- of the Dominion. . A* proof of the interest evinced in the festivals of this Society, the indications arc that next-year the famous BJack-stoae-Tpwich Cambrian Choir, Q opens*-: land— several times the champion chpir of Australia—will be competing. Outside competitors coming from Wellington to take part in this great educational movement .receive- holiday,excursion rates 5 on the railways. The prize list has been substantially increased: £750 cash prizes and trophies have been allotted, including a : £l3O Grahitl Chappell Piano for the winner of theChampion .Plano Solo. Text Books containing full particulars are obtainable from the secretary, Mr James Dykes, Box 625, Wellington. Entries close on 30th September, No doubt this district will be well represented at New Zealand’s ( National Eisteddfod.
