“FOUND DROWNED. fPßii Press Association. J Wanganui; September 13. At the inquest on an old man named
William Osborne, 75 years of age, found in tllb"rivet ' yesterday,' the 1 Coroner returned a verdict of “found drowned,” there being no evidence to show whether death was accidental or premeditated. Christchurch, September 12. A man named Banks, a carrier, driving a lorry with a team of horses over a level crossing' at Rangiora, failed to see an approaching train. The lorry was struck amidships, and Banks was killed. Mrs'Humphreys, the 'crossingkeeper, and her son, nine years of age, were both badly injured in the smash. The engine cut the'lorry in two, and the horses escaped with the forecarriage.
