ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE.

[Per Press Association.] Auckland, September 13

A largely-signed requisition of two hundred signatures,- including representatives of local bodies and commercial and professional men, was presented to the Mayor requesting him to convene a public meeting to consider the administration of justice in the Supreme Court in this district. The Mayor stated that he was impressed with the standing of the signatories and would consider the request and give his answer on Tuesday. Personlly, lie thought the*legal profession • should express an opinion in the matter one way or the other. He added; “An opinion from the Law' Society would lie most helpful to myself as Mayor, and to the rest of the community in coming to a decision upon such important matters as the administration of justice.” The Auckland Law Society meet on Monday evening to consider the subject matter of the requisition.
