DAXNEVIRKE RACING CLUB. [Per Press Association.] Dannevhke, September 10. The Dannevirke Racing Club’s Steeplechase meeting passed off successfully. T.he attendance was large and the/ fields were big. The weather was changeable, showers falling at intervals, while' there was a deluge after the last race. The totalisator investments amounted to £11,590, against £8728 for the corresponding meeting last year'. . The Eaneuvirke steeplechase was a fine race, Master Webb 'winning by a neck, Windage, Gondolier, Donzel and Rangitane finishing a head behind each other. In the hack and J hunters’ ■steeple’ Levcnt fell at the sod wall and broke his neck. A. Gordon, his rider, had 'his collar-bone broken. When the horses 1 were finishing a spectator named Ken Harris, son of J. A. Harris, .hock agent, Hastings, put his head out between the wires of the fence, •! and one of the competitors collided with him, and Harris was badly injured on the head.
