TWO OUTBREAKS AT MASTERTON

[Per Press Association.] Masterton, September 8

Two fires occurred in Mastcrton, one on Saturday and the, other early this morning. On Saturday a bouse which was the property of H. C. Robinson was totally destroyed. Robinson was heating a pot of tar, which caught alight and set fire to the building. Robinson was burned about the face, and was removed to the hospital. 3ho insurances on the building were £625 in the Standard, and on furniture £2OO in the United; Early this morning a small grocery shop belonging to Parker andHornblow at Lansdownc was destroyed. The insurances on the building are £450, and on the stock £260. The water service was inadequate in both cases.
