AXXTAL MEETINGS. The annual meeting of shareholders of tne JLowgarth Dairy Co, is to be held 021 September lith, and the Xgaere Co.'s shareholders are to meet on the lGtli. LOWGAKTH. Following is the report to be submitted to the Lowgarth meeting:—■ The cheese market, though not up to the high expectations formed in the spring, has not been unfavorable, 'and has enabled us to pay suppliers 112.jd per lb. for butterfat, and have !still in hand £3BB, equal to about a farthing. Unexpected delay in the instalment of the separators robbed us of several hundred pounds sterling, but the success of whey butter manufacture has been proved. The factors buildings, plant and machinery are all' in excellent order. It is as a measure of prudence that we write off ten per cent, depreciation from the cost oi the butter plant. Our cheese was again placed at the head of the list of grades at Moturoa. Retiring directors are Messrs. Burke and Sulzberger. Mr A, Coleman's services as auditor are again offered.—E. A. The record of work for the year was as follows : —Cheese-making : Mill; 0,199,730, test 3.93, butterfat 361,589, cheese 952,371, whey butter 12,885, lb;, milk to lib cheese 9.60, lbs cheese to lib butterfat 2.03. Rutter-niaking: Milk 99,179, test (.73. butterfat •1700, butter 5307, lbs. milk to lib butter 18.48, lbs. butter 31b butterfat 1.14.
NGAERE. Tlie Ngaere report is as followThe annual balance-sheet is before yon and on the whole discloses a good season. Suppliers have received Is Id for butterfat, and there is a further sum of £l7B to dispose of. The cose of manufacture and marketing, alfincluded, was .707 of a penny per lb. As will be seen from the statistics, the past season was easily a record in p:>infc of production, and the quality of cur cheese maintained its high standard. The directors who retire by notation are: Messrs W. Morrison, T. 11.I 1 . Coleman, and G. F. Styles, .wire are eligible for re-election. Mr J. H. Thomas offers his services again as auditor, Mr A. KAPON T GA. : ,, (Mi In the report of the Kaponga Company it is stated that the amount pj milk i received during .jibe past, season was 21.202,3641b5, from Which were made -908 tons of cheese and. .32 ion 'e, of butter, being a considerable'increase as compared with .the previous' year. . The following are the statistics for the past season:—Lbs milk reeeived, 19,559,617 "(1,643,747)';" lbs. butt or-fat 747,917 (62,459); lbs. cheese 2,0155,991; lbs butter 72,367 ; "whey 'butter, 33,682; lbs milk to lib cheese, 9.6; lbs of milk to lib butter, 22.7; average test 3.8, (3.8); cheese per 11) fat, 2.73; over-run, 15.8; weight of phecse made, 908 tons 18cwt; weight of butter 1 made, 32 tons 6cwt. An advance of Is per month from July, ' 1912, to June, 1913, inclusive, was made. At the annual meeting a resolution increasing the company's capital by •mother £IO,OOO was carried.
