WEATHER FORECAST.
The Government, Meteorologist (Rev D. C. Bates) telegraphed this after noon as follows :
The indications are for .-—Northerly strong winds to gale, changing to southerly after about 21 to 36 hours. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled. Heavy rain is to be expected, with rivers rising shortly. Barometer falling, but rising after about 24 to 36 hours.
