Mr J. E. Studd, replying to the criticisms of the £IOO,OOO Olympic Fund, states that the money will not be used to secure a team of gladiators but to create an organisation to support < amateur sports associations, and organising and extending sports on scientific lines.
MR McIXTOSH'S SCHEME. (Received 8.20 a.m.) 1 London, September 5. The British Olympic Committee has decided that Mr Macintosh's proposal to include the Dominions in the fund's scope is impracticable, inasmuch; as the international committee had decided that. the Dominions must compete separately.
