FALL OF A METEORITE.
O ! . NOISE/ HEARD 20 MILES AWAY. [By Electrtc Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 12.30 p.m.) New York, September 4. A meteorite fell into the sea at Connet River, Massachusetts, throwing a huge wave high i n the air, followed by a thick burst of steam. The noise was heard twenty miles away. Houses were shaken and windows smashed. The river is too deep to permit of the meteorite being recovered.
