SERIOUS DUBLIN RIOTS.
THE TRAMWAY PROCLAMATION

London, August 31. The Chief Advisory Magistrate at
Dublin lias “proclaimed” the tramwaymen’s demonstration in O’Connell street to-morrow, on the ground that it is seditious.
Mr Larken, leader of the Transport Union, who was remanded on bail with three others, declares that he will go to the demonstration dead or alive.
The Trades’ Council lias telegraphed to Mr A. Birrell strongly condemning the persecution of the Irish Labor leaders.
The Coachbuilders’ Association at Dublin has retaliated against the strikers by locking-out every member of the Transport Workers’ Union. Darken, leader of the transport workers, publicly burnt the proclamation prohibiting the demonstration.

There is serious noting' by tramway strikers in Dublin. The crowd threw stones and bottles. The police batoned the crowd and one man was killed and five police wounded. Darken, who was remanded on bail, has eluded rerarrest. The transport workers are pledgee, not pay their rent until their demands have been conceded. Journalists professionally engaged on the painters’ strike passed a resolution protesting against the black-leg reporting of strike news by the officials of the ■ Unions concerned. AMERICAN AMAZONS. Calmut (Michigan), August 31. Women are aiding the copper mine strikers. . -They attacked non-union-ists, beating them unmercifully. The women then attacked the deputies. Finally the militia restored order.
