THE CIVIL SERVICE.
APPEAL BOARD SITTINGS. [Per Press Association.] Wellington, August 29. The Civil Service Appeal Board began its sittings in Wellington to-day. There were present: Messrs P. Parr (chairman), Marryatt, Mouat, Mill, and Richardson. The Board dealt with several appeals, and will continue sitting daily. It has not yet decided whether the sittings will bo open to the Press.
